LVT, Luxury Vinyl Tile, is flooring that looks like real wood or real stone but is actually made up of a series of layers, and provides many practical benefits. LVT is still a fairly new product, but is becoming a more and more popular flooring choice.
More recently, LVT and Herringbone LVT has become the flooring of choice over laminate, especially in areas where water is present. Keep reading to find out more about LVT and how it could be a great choice for your home!
Easy to look after
LVT, Luxury Vinyl Tile, is a super low maintenance flooring option and easy to keep clean. All that is required is regular sweeping (or hoover) to remove any bits and mopping to remove any dirt.
Highly durable
With a built-in scratch and stain guard, LVT is extremely durable and hardwearing. Compared to flooring like laminate, LVT won’t be easily worn due to daily wear and tear. It is hard to scratch (within reason).
Waterproof
Unlike laminate that can be ruined by water damage, LVT is 100% waterproof. Being waterproof makes LVT extremely versatile and suitable for fitting in any area, even kitchens and bathrooms.
Versatile
As we’ve mentioned above, LVT flooring is extremely robust and durable, and water-resistant making it extremely versatile. It is suitable paired with underfloor heating and can withstand heavy traffic. If an LVT plank was to need replacing this can be done easily; unlike laminate, where if one plank was ruined, you’d likely need the entire floor replaced.
LVT can often appear more expensive than other flooring options, however, when investing in LVT you are guaranteed an extremely long lifespan. Making it a great investment for your home.
